The Bad
The Beetroot Latte failed to impress. The Beetroot flavour was most definitely lacking. The drink was rather watery and not creamy nor rich. Disappointing.
Our Matcha Latte was not much better. The lack of colour was a tell-tale sign that not much matcha has been used in the drink, and our first sip simply confirmed this fact. So, we sent it back for a do-over.
The second attempt at the Matcha Latte fared no better. The matcha flavour was equally weak. Coupled with the a thin, watery texture, it was really akin to downing a cup of watered down milk.
The Verdict
Pricey. Skimping on ingredients. Disappointing. The manager even insisted that’s how it’s done. Seriously?
Would Penguin Eat Again?
$5 for a glass of warm milk? No.
