This must be the singular worst Matcha Latte I’ve ever sampled. Awfully bland and watery, there was absolutely no matcha flavour to be found anywhere. With probably less than the equivalent of a single shot of almond milk within, all you got was a hint of almond aftertaste from this so-called matcha drink.
The Chai Latte was no better. Comparable to a huge glass of hot sugar water, there was once again a complete and utter absence of chai flavour anywhere within the glass. The cinnamon sprinkled on top was literally the only thing we could taste. “Made with leaves and love” my arse.
The Verdict
Arriving at quarter past two to a team of wait staff who were more concerned about closing up shop than serving you, coupled with the weak, blatantly ripoff drinks that were served, this cafe may as well close up forever.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
That’s a definite no. I’d rather throw my $11 down the drain than hand it to these high-browed wait staff who can’t even fake a smile.
