The Good
The chocolate brownie was delicious, extremely smooth and creamy. Full of dark rich chocolate flavours combined with sweeter tones of a brownie. However this was let down by the lack of actual chunks of brownie which would’ve been awesome.
The Mediocre
The “Better-than-Nutella” apparently didn’t contain Nutella at all, and that was apparent once you start tasting as it is relatively light with a good hazelnut flavour. Nothing too standout about this, although as above, it was equally creamy and smooth.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
Not a bad take on Italian gelato. However it is a tad on the expensive side. I would recommend the hazelnut flavour over “Better-than-Nutella” though, cause it ain’t really better.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Definitely. This is the next best gelato after Pidapipo on Lygon street.
